The short version

No optional browser analytics runs by default — it starts only if you allow it in the consent banner. There are no ads, no tracking pixels, and no third-party embeds. Separately from that, the hosting provider keeps standard technical server logs, described below.

Who is responsible

Analytics is opt-in

If you press “Allow” in the banner, the site loads Google Analytics (via Firebase) so I can see which pages get visited. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Google Analytics stores a pseudonymous identifier in _ga cookies in your browser — it contains no name or email address, but it does distinguish your browser from others between visits, which is why I don’t describe it as anonymous. It collects page views, approximate location, and basic device information.

The data is processed by Google (Google Ireland Ltd., with possible transfers to Google LLC in the US under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework), which acts as a recipient and processes it on its own infrastructure. I see aggregated reports, retain user-level data for 2 months (the Google Analytics minimum), and never sell the data or share it further.

Withdrawing consent

Open “Analytics settings” in the site footer and press Decline. Collection stops immediately and the analytics cookies are removed from your browser. Your choice itself is kept in your browser’s local storage for up to 12 months, after which the banner asks again. If you never press Allow, no analytics is loaded and nothing is stored beyond that saved choice.

Hosting

The site is served by Firebase Hosting (Google). Like most hosts, it keeps short-lived technical server logs (such as IP address and requested URL) to operate and secure the service; the legal basis is legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in running the site. These logs exist whether or not you allow analytics.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can request access to, correction, or deletion of your personal data, restrict or object to its processing, and withdraw consent at any time without affecting past processing. You can also complain to the Czech supervisory authority, the Office for Personal Data Protection (ÚOOÚ).
